SAN ANTONIO SOCIALISTS STORM ALAMO: DEMAND ICE'S END IN 'NO KINGS' FRENZY
You have to wonder what Davy Crockett would think. His stand at the Alamo defined American grit and defiance. Fast forward to March 29, 2026, and the same sacred ground serves as a stage for several thousand socialists to vent their spleen against President Trump and U.S. border security.
Breitbart Texas reporter Randy Clark was there, capturing the scene just blocks from the historic mission. The crowd, organized under the banner of the "No Kings" rallies sweeping the nation, listened to fiery speeches denouncing Trump as a dictator. They chanted anti-ICE slogans with the fervor of a revival meeting gone wrong. And they railed against the U.S.-Israeli military operations in Iran, part of Operation Epic Fury, which has reportedly degraded enemy capabilities by significant margins.
Leading the charge were members of the San Antonio Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), a group dedicated to upending the American way of life one protest at a time. Joined by the Democratic Socialists of America, Planned Parenthood activists, the 50501 movement, and even Bexar County Democrats, the assemblage turned downtown San Antonio into a carnival of discontent.
Signs abounded, many laced with profanity aimed at ICE and the president. One particularly charming display featured a young child toting a vulgar message against immigration enforcement. Because teaching kids to hate authority figures starts early in socialist circles. Protesters donned inflatable costumes, painted their faces like clowns, and draped themselves in Palestinian keffiyeh scarves to protest Israel's defensive actions against Hamas and Hezbollah following the October 7 atrocities.
Booths dotted the area, hawking merchandise and political swag. One prominent push was for James Talarico, the Democratic candidate gunning to unseat Senator John Cornyn in the upcoming election. Talarico, known for his progressive stances, must be thrilled with this coalition of radicals boosting his profile.
The speeches hammered home two main themes: defund and abolish ICE, and halt the strikes against Iranian proxies. Chants of "F*** the Migra!" echoed through the streets as the group marched peacefully under police escort. No arrests, no incidents. Just a lot of noise from folks who seem allergic to law and order.
Here's where it gets rich. The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), the union representing rank-and-file Border Patrol agents and civilian staff, is listed as a partnering sponsor of these nationwide "No Kings" events. Think about that. While thousands of federal workers, including those on the front lines of border security, go without paychecks amid ongoing shutdowns and budget battles, their own union bankrolls protests that vilify the very agency they serve.
Data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection shows ICE has removed over 271,000 illegal aliens in fiscal year 2025 alone, including thousands of criminals with convictions for serious offenses like assault, drug trafficking, and worse. That's not "dictatorship." That's doing the job Congress refuses to fund properly. Yet these protesters demand we scrap it all, opening the floodgates wider. Translation: they want unchecked migration, no questions asked. Because verification might reveal the inconvenient truths about who's crossing.
And the timing? This rally comes amid heightened tensions with Iran, where U.S. and Israeli forces have struck back against missile barrages and terror networks. Operation Epic Fury has, according to defense briefings, neutralized key command centers and reduced attack capabilities by up to 70%. But to the socialist crowd, defending the free world is just another "kingly" power grab.
You already know where this is going. These protests aren't about peace or justice. They're about power. The left can't win at the ballot box with their radical agenda, so they take to the streets, amplifying chaos while President Trump's policies deliver results: record-low illegal crossings, economic growth, and a foreign policy that puts America first.
Christians, remember Proverbs 21:1: "The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will." We pray for our leaders, including President Trump, as they navigate these storms. But we also stand firm against those who would erode our sovereignty and values.
The question for Texans, especially in San Antonio, is simple. Will you let a vocal minority of socialists dictate our borders and foreign policy? Or will you back the strong leadership securing our nation? The Alamo reminds us: freedom isn't free. It's defended, one stand at a time.
That's the real rallying cry.
